Store & Points

Last updated: September 17, 2026

SourceBoard uses points to reward useful participation and to unlock or obtain certain cosmetic features.

Points are a platform participation mechanism. They are not money, cryptocurrency, stored value, or a bank balance.

1. How points are earned

SourceBoard may award points for eligible actions such as:

  • creating source requests;
  • adding comments or source leads;
  • receiving or performing eligible engagement actions;
  • completing selected profile actions;
  • participating in social features;
  • contributing to Accepted Source or Verified Source outcomes under applicable rules; or
  • other useful participation announced by SourceBoard.

Reward rules may include daily limits, one-time limits, eligibility rules, and anti-abuse protections.

2. Current contribution rewards

Current standard participation rewards may include:

Accepted Source and Verified Source rewards may use separate reputation or contribution rules.

SourceBoard may change reward amounts and caps prospectively.

3. Anti-abuse

SourceBoard may reject or reverse rewards associated with:

  • self-like activity;
  • duplicate actions;
  • repeated retry attempts;
  • coordinated farming;
  • alternate-account manipulation;
  • delete-and-recreate loops;
  • repetitive low-value content;
  • automation;
  • fabricated source activity; or
  • technical errors.

4. Deleted content

If a post or comment earned points and the qualifying content is later deleted, SourceBoard may reverse the associated reward.

Historical reward and reversal records may be preserved for integrity.

5. Share rewards

A SourceBoard share reward records an eligible share action or share intent within SourceBoard.

It does not prove that an external post was successfully published, viewed, or engaged with.

6. Store items

The Store may include:

  • avatar frames;
  • profile effects;
  • themes;
  • emotes;
  • cosmetic packs;
  • visual enhancements; or
  • other digital items.

Some items may be free.

Other items may require points.

7. Ownership and entitlement

Obtaining a Store item generally gives the user an entitlement to use that item within SourceBoard.

It does not transfer:

  • SourceBoard software ownership;
  • trademark rights;
  • underlying third-party intellectual property; or
  • rights to export or resell the item unless explicitly allowed.

8. Equipping items

Owning an item and equipping an item are separate.

Unequipping a cosmetic does not normally remove it from the user's inventory.

9. Price and availability changes

SourceBoard may change:

  • point prices;
  • availability;
  • item categories;
  • presentation;
  • compatibility;
  • animation behavior;
  • performance requirements; or
  • Store organization.

Where possible, SourceBoard should avoid misleading users about items they already obtained.

10. No cash redemption

Unless SourceBoard explicitly introduces a separate program, points:

  • cannot be redeemed for cash;
  • are not transferable currency;
  • do not accrue interest;
  • are not a deposit; and
  • do not represent a claim against SourceBoard for monetary value.

11. Corrections

SourceBoard may correct balances or entitlements affected by:

  • duplication;
  • fraud;
  • exploitation;
  • system error;
  • accidental grants;
  • invalid reversals; or
  • moderation.

12. Suspension and bans

Account restrictions may affect access to Store items and points.

A suspended or banned user does not automatically gain a cash refund or monetary claim for platform points or purely digital cosmetic entitlements.

13. Community-created cosmetics

Community-created items may be subject to additional review, creator rules, intellectual-property requirements, and availability decisions.
